I am currently trying webgui on a powermac g5 (64 bit) that runs Linux. It’s quite a headache actually. I mean, I should have tested this on a i386 machine. I am experiencing mod_* problems.
And the mod_perl can’t see some cpan modules.

Hi Louie,
The 64-bit WRE is in very early beta right now. However, the upcoming WRE 1.0 release will include a stable version. There are several members of the WebGUI community that are currently testing 64-bit versions on a variety of operating systems. Keep your eyes peeled and be sure to use the WebGUI forums to work through your problems. The IRC channel is also another great place to collaborate with community members. There are usually 30-40 people online at any given time. Take care!
